“I have worked with Angela Simmonds throughout her legal career. As a student she pioneered research into the land titles issue in Nova Scotia and helped ignite the work that is now ongoing to bring land justice to African Nova Scotians. As a member of the Nova Scotia legislature, she is a fierce and tireless advocate for all her constituents and is a vocal and effective member of the opposition. As an educator in the field of Equity and Anti-racism, Angela and I have co-presented on a number of occasions. She has an approach that is both engaging and challenging that leaves her students with plenty to think about and real tools to begin making strides towards more equitable and inclusive workplaces."
